About Brookside
Brookside School is a vibrant and caring learning community serving about 275 students in grades TK–5. Our dedicated teachers and staff are passionate about nurturing the whole child: academically, socially, and emotionally, so that every student feels seen, valued, and supported.
As the home of the Ross Valley School District’s K–2 and 3–5 Special Day Classes, Brookside takes great pride in fostering inclusion and belonging for all learners. We believe every child brings unique strengths and perspectives that enrich our school community.
Students at Brookside thrive through engaging opportunities that spark curiosity and connection. Lunchtime clubs like Leadership League, Green Team, Drawing Club, and Imagination Block Builders give students a chance to explore interests, make friends, and build leadership skills.
A highlight of each week is our Community Time on Wednesday afternoons, when the entire school gathers to celebrate heritage months, participate in Culture of Belonging lessons, engages in activities with their buddy classes or enjoys student-led assemblies that showcase our amazing Brookside students.
Guided by the RVSD Racial Equity Mission Statement, Brookside is dedicated to creating a safe, equitable, and inclusive environment where every child is respected, celebrated, and empowered to thrive.
